Each wheel is forged under an immense 10,000 metric tons of pressure. This process refines the grain structure of the aluminium, eliminates porosity, and dramatically improves overall strength. The result is a wheel that is lighter yet stronger than traditional cast or flow-formed alternatives.
TRUE MOTORSPORT BLANKS
Unlike manufacturers who rely on generic blanks intended for non-performance wheels, APEX designs its own motorsport-specific blanks from scratch. This allows for greater flexibility in spoke design, concavity, sizing, and brake clearance, ensuring the wheels are purpose-built for high-performance applications.
SIDE-MILLED SPOKES
The VS-5RS features precision CNC side-milling, removing excess material from the spokes without compromising strength. This reduces overall weight and improves response, a process often skipped by other manufacturers due to its cost.

WEIGHT OPTIMISED
Every wheel undergoes extensive computer simulations to ensure strength where it matters most. Stress points are reinforced while non-essential areas are thinned out, resulting in an intelligently engineered wheel with an ideal balance of lightness and durability.
APEX does not rely solely on computer simulations or in-house testing. Independent testing is considered essential to ensure reliability and safety in this unregulated industry. For the Forged Sprint™ wheels, APEX selected STL, an independent laboratory in Ohio, to perform rigorous tests well beyond JWL standards, including extended testing duration, higher impact drop heights, and increased total load.

Introducing the Sprint™ spec inner lip, with a unique channel profile that makes it even stronger than previous designs. So even though the Sprint™ wheels are pounds lighter than comparable flow formed wheels, the inner lip is stronger.

DEEPER CONCAVITY
The new APEX forgings were redesigned to create extra deep, concave spoke profiles. Their new shape allows APEX to make any profile, from flat to deep and everything in between. Each one is optimised for a specific application using 3D laser scans of factory and aftermarket brake kits.
PAINTLESS KNURLED BEADS
Whether it's a day at the track or months of street driving, repeated hard braking and acceleration can make a tire slip along the bead seat and go out of balance, causing vibration. Knurled beads help, but are less effective when painted over. The APEX Forged Sprint™ wheels feature unpainted knurled beads that stay sharp and maximise grip.
BUILT FOR IMPACT SOCKETS
Track wheels need track tools. Don’t settle for wheels that require undersized tuner lugs or thin walled sockets. All APEX wheels accommodate over-sized race lugs and impact sockets to make swapping wheels lightning fast.

HUB CENTRIC
All VS-5RS wheels are purpose built for select vehicle applications. Very few applications require locating rings.
CENTRE CAPS
The majority of VS-5RS wheels come with a gloss black cap included that is interchangeable with the OE cap. APEX also offer additional colours for select fitments.
WHEEL HARDWARE
Wherever possible, APEX wheels are designed to be used with OEM mounting hardware as well as high-quality wheel spacers, stud conversion kits, wheel locks, and more.
TPMS
All APEX wheels are compatible with both OEM and aftermarket Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), as well as standard-fit valve stems.
